The Animal Industries Resource Centre/Crampton Consulting Group is proud to have on board Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses who have excelled in the veterinary profession and are committed to passing on their wealth of experience and knowledge. Many of the staff fulfil the roles of assessors, tutors, workshop co-ordinators, career advisors, job counsellors and professional colleagues. We have staff that excel in the departments of Accounting and Administration and all our staff will help you in your quest to further your skills and knowledge.

 
Mark Hardwick
General Manager - AIRC/CCG | Consultant

Mark has spent the last 15 years in the veterinary industry as a trainer and consultant. A founding Director of AIRC/CCG, his passion is to work with practice owners to build business.  Mark specialises in veterinary practice auditing and coaching, in particular, operational efficiencies, strategic planning and financial management.   Mark's no-nonsense approach to creating practice profitability sees him in demand as a coach and mentor. Mark is also the General Manager of AIRC/CCG.
 

Sue Crampton
Strategic Development Trainer | Lead Consultant

Sue is acknowledged as a leading speaker, trainer and consultant across Australasia in the areas of practice and organisational development, strategic planning, communication excellence & staff development and management. Sue has a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human Resources and Marketing, as well as her Diploma in Company Directorship (GAICD) and a Masters in NLP.  Sue invests time working as the HR Manager for Provet and maintaining a weekend role as a veterinary nurse in a quality mixed practice in Brisbane.

Sue has a practical hands-on approach and brings with her a wealth of both corporate and small business skills, having been the founder of the much respected AIRC and CCG, which is now proudly a business unit of the Provet Group of Companies.

Sue commenced her career in the UK as a veterinary nurse in 1982 and has gained invaluable global veterinary knowledge having worked in the USA, Hong Kong and frequently visits countries such as UAE, Malaysia to lecture, coach and consult. 

 
CRAMPTON CONSULTING GROUP TEAM

Tania Small
International Operations Manager | Consultant

Tania, our International Operations Manager, has just returned home having spent the past three years based in Hong Kong overseeing the company’s Asian portfolio. Continuing in this role, Tania’s responsibilities include project management, business development, client relations and international student co-ordination.  In addition, Tania is also the coordinator for the Certificate IV in Frontline Management course provided by AIRC.

Tania has worked for AIRC/CCG for the last ten years and was employed as a qualified veterinary nurse in various sectors of the animal care industry for the eight years prior. Being passionate about not only the animal care industry, but also the people working in it, Tania also holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in human resources and organisational psychology. She is also an accredited DISC consultant and qualified workplace trainer and assessor.

 

Rosie Overfield
Client Development Manager | CCG Consultant

 

Rosie Overfield is a consultant and trainer with Crampton Consulting Group. Rosie commenced working in the veterinary industry in 1997 after leaving a career in communications. She worked in a variety of Australian practices as both a veterinary nurse and practice manager.

As the Client Development Manager of AIRC/CCG, Rosie uses her knowledge of communication and human behaviour to help teams work harmoniously together and make a difference to the bottom line. She manages the internal HR functions of the AIRC/CCG business unit as well as consults and coaches veterinary practices on HR and performance management systems.

Rosie holds a Diploma of Professional Counselling (specialising in grief and workplace counselling) and is a member of the Australian Counselling Association. She is also a qualified veterinary nurse, a qualified workplace trainer and is accredited in a variety of behavioural profiling tools. Rosie holds a 'Compassion Fatigue Specialist' designation obtained in Canada in 2010 - she has a special interest in organisational health, emotional intelligence and compassion fatigue in animal care workers. Rosie regularly contributes articles to a variety of industry publications on these areas.

In 2012, Rosie will be speaking at the VNCA, NZVA and the BSAVA Conferences on a variety of topics including compassion fatigue, grief and loss and maintaining values and culture in large organisations.

 

Erin Croker
Consulting and Events Supervisor

Erin has been working at the Animal Industries Resource Centre / Crampton Consulting since 2005. In her current, and very diverse role as Events and Consulting Supervisor, Erin oversees the events department and ensures the smooth running of all events, including the annual workshop series. She also works closely with the consulting team, liaising with clients to coordinate in-practice training and consulting, and provides administrative support to both the consulting and management teams. Erin has been working in administration since 2001, and has a Certificate III in Education (Office Support). She has also achieved her DISC Accreditation.When she’s not at work, Erin enjoys spending time with her loved ones including her Border Collie, Riley.

 

Natalie Zofek
Marketing and Events Coordinator

As one of AIRC’s Marketing and Events Coordinators, Natalie brings to the company a wealth of administrative and customer focused skills. She is behind the delivery of the “Practice with Confidence” Workshop Series. This role sees her amongst other responsibilities booking venues, taking registrations and sending logistics. Previously she has been employed as an Administrator with a mortgage company in the UK as well as within the retail sector. With a Certificate III in Business Administration, Natalie excels in managing the day to day administrative operations at the AIRC.

 

Sarah Crampton
Marketing and Events Coordinator

Sarah is one of AIRC’s Marketing and Events Coordinators behind the delivery of the “Practice with Confidence” workshop series. This role also sees her amongst other responsibilities designing brochures, creating advertisements and coordinating events. Sarah graduated with a Bachelor in Communication (Marketing and Public Relations) in 2009 and has over 6 years experience as an assistant manager in retail. She has just returned to Australia after 12 months of travelling around Europe and UK. Outside of work Sarah loves spending time with her niece and nephew, skiing and shopping.

 

Christine Kay
CCG Consulting Administrator 

Chris joined the AIRC team in March this year and has recently moved to the role of CCG Consulting Administrator with AIRC/Crampton Consulting Group.  Chris moved from NZ to Australia with her family in December 2004 and previously worked as Enrolment Officer for the International College at Boondall.  Over the past 6 years, Chris and her family have enjoyed participating in the Homestay programme at the college, and hosted many students from diverse cultures.  She also enjoys entertaining, cooking and spending time with her family.

 

Mik O’Leary
Technical & Online Development

Mik graduated from University of Queensland in 1980 and spent 25 years in small animal veterinary practice. Most of this was spent at a major small animal hospital in Hobart though he has practiced in most states of Australia as well as a year working in the UK. He has a keen interest in surgery and particularly enjoys the challenges of orthopaedics. After many years in full-time practice and part-time mentor to veterinary nurses, Mik crossed over to work as a full-time veterinary nurse trainer and part-time veterinarian. Mik now designs and delivers all AIRC/CCG online programs including ProSkills, website management and educational webinars and videos. Mik loves to travel at any opportunity and is an avid photographer.

 

Paul Johnston
IT Administrator

Paul Johnston joins the team as our new I.T Administrator.  With our growing suite of online courses, webinars and qualifications, Paul was an ideal addition to support Mik O'Leary in the I.T team.  Paul has a background in website and brand development and is not adverse to building the odd computer or two!  Paul has 3 cats and a dog named Millie and when not working enjoys photography, working on his classic car and going to the beach.

 

 Amanda Peters
CCG Consultant

With over 15 years experience in the veterinary industry, Amanda joined Crampton Consulting Group in 2008. Graduating as a veterinary nurse in 1994, Amanda has since developed her passion for practice and business management. Her skills in this area have seen her excel as a sales representative, practice management software trainer and as a Practice Manager of a multi-branch mixed practice in rural Queensland.
Amanda has completed her Diploma in Practice Management (Veterinary) and her love of technology means CCG clients can now benefit from her expertise in data analysis and interpretation to achieve business success.

 

Michelle Storay
CCG Consultant

Michelle qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1984 and has worked in practices ranging from a busy small animal hospital to specialist centres (dermatology). She has worked in a dedicated emergency and critical care facility for the last ten years where she is now the Director of Nursing and responsible for the training of veterinary nurses there. Michelle has been with the AIRC since 2001 as a student trainer and workplace assessor. She also presents technical workshops both nationally and internationally.She has 2 dogs (both adopted from the clinic, both with rare autoimmune diseases) and a cat (also clinic adopted, very healthy) and is married to a vet practice partner.

Michelle Humphreys
Education and Training Supervisor

Michelle joined the AIRC as Education and Training Supervisor with 25 years in the Veterinary Industry. Graduating as a Veterinary Nurse in 1991, Michelle initially worked in small animal practice moving onto a specialty skin referral practice. Following a passion for business, Michelle has spent the last 15 years in varying roles with a veterinary manufacturer. Michelle has extensive management experience and this, coupled with her veterinary skills, will assist the Education and Training team to ensure our students achieve their absolute potential.

Michelle’s interests are cooking, gardening, reading & swimming. She is married with two young girls, and other additions to the family include an Australian Terrier - Jesse 11yrs, Maltese - Miffy 15yrs, and a ginger & white long haired kitty called Hugo - 13 yrs. 

 

 

 Tracy Woodland
Enrolments and Internal Training Supervisor

As an AIRC Enrolments Officer, Tracy is responsible for all aspects of the enrolment and traineeship process for every course. On any given day she may be liaising with Government departments, performing student interviews or consulting with Course Coordinators about student matters. 

 

 

Jodie Swan
Traineeships and Administration Officer

Jodie joins the AIRC as a Traineeships and Administration Officer after 10 years as a companion animal nurse and practice manager. Jodie holds her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Outside of the office Jodie enjoys spending time with her husband Stephen and active baby boy Hunter.

 

 

Audrey Martin
Enrolments Officer

Audrey has joined the AIRC as an Enrolment Officer. Audrey has a strong background in Education, having worked in a school and a university. She is currently studying a Certificate in Business Administration and intends to get started on her Diploma next year. She is a keen knitter and helps her partner look after their many freshwater fishtanks.

 

 

Erika Gladman
Education & Training Supervisor

Erika graduated from the University of Sydney as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1997. She has spent 10 years in small animal practice in Sydney, Brisbane and the UK. Whilst working in a Training Practice the UK, Erika became an assessor for trainee Veterinary Nurses studying through the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Erika joined the Animal Industries Resource Centre in January 2007 and has worked with both the Companion Animal and Veterinary Nursing Portfolios. She keeps her veterinary skills up to date with occasional clinic work in Small Animal practice. Erika has a special interest in our feline friends and shares her home with two loveable moggies - Tonny and Trevor.  Erika currently lives in Newcastle with her husband and their two children. She enjoys going to the beach, swimming, reading and consuming good food and wine!!

 

Chantal McKinlay
Senior Training Coordinator

Chantal comes to the AIRC with over eleven years experience in small animal nursing. During that time she has achieved her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing as well as her Veterinary Nurse Technician certificate. Her main interests are in guinea pig care and small animal medicine.

She maintains her skills working on weekends at a small animal surgery. In her spare time Chantal enjoys belly dancing, spending time with her husband, Justin, and playing with her two dogs Theodore (Shitzu) and Genevieve (Wire-haired Dachshund).

 

Kate Tinney
Senior Training Coordinator

Kate is a Regional Training Coordinator and works closely with Chantal and Alix to help our students reach their full potential. Kate comes to the AIRC with 8 years experience in the industry in both general practice and emergency nursing. She still maintains her skills by working at an emergency centre on the weekends. Kate’s menagerie of animals fills her spare time. She has two dogs, Tess and Greaser, three cats and two horses. Weekends when Kate is not working are filled competing with her horses in showjumping and dressage. 

 

Alix Pollock
Regional Training Coordinator

Alix has been a veterinary nurse since 1993. She qualified under the RCVS in the UK in 1998. After travelling the world with her husband, she emigrated to her husband's home town of Brisbane in 2003. Alix has a keen interest in Avian/Exotics nursing and has worked as a nursing manager in a busy Brisbane clinic for the past two years. She still works part time for her husband in a busy Northside clinic to keep up her skills.In 2004, Alix became a Personal Training Consultant for the AIRC. Her mission is to infect trainee nurses with her enthusiasm to be the best they can be. She splits her spare time between cooking, gardening, craft, comedy and teasing her two boofy cats, Junior and Dafydd. Playing with Dobby the Italian Greyhound and raising her two children. Alix is also a keen aquarium keeper with a six-foot freshwater tropical tank.

 

Jodie Stuart
Regional Training Coordinator

Jodie joined the team at AIRC as a Regional Training Coordinator after eight years industry experience in pet store management. Jodie holds a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Jodie has two Cocker Spaniels named Buster and Jessie, thirteen guinea pigs and Shinji the cat. In her spare time she enjoys reading, zumba, atheletics and animal care studies.

 

 

 Jane Roberts
Training Coordinator | Personal Training Consultant, Queensland

Jane has worked for the AIRC for 6 years as a work place trainer and assessor and student coordinator to diploma and technician students. Jane hopes to pass on her knowledge and experience to new upcoming nurses whilst following another path in her veterinary nursing career. Jane qualified as a veterinary nurse in the UK and came to Australia in September 1999 to further her career. Since arriving in Australia she has completed her Diploma in Surgical Nursing and has extensive experience in Emergency and Critical Care nursing. Following Jane from the UK came her feline buddy Melanoma, yes his name is spelt correctly. Needless to say there have been some other additions to Jane’s family: Pimple, a stray cat rescued from work, 2 crazy chickens, a husband, and 2 gorgeous little boys. Jane likes to exercise, bake and travel when she gets the chance.

 

Carole Harvey-Stevenson
Technical Advisor and Special Projects

Carole has worked with the AIRC since 2001 as the resident technical advisor. Carole’s role involves developing on-line course materials, presenting workshops and webinars, in-practice training and lecturing on a variety of in-depth topics throughout Australia and overseas. Carole has her UK nursing qualification as well as an Australian Diploma in Emergency and Critical Care. Her greatest achievement was obtaining the Veterinary Technician Specialist qualification in Emergency and Critical Care from the United States (the first person in Australia). Carole still remains hands-on in the industry working at the Brisbane Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Centre. Any spare time is taken up by her two cats; Kitt-the-Kat and Filbert the Hoon!

  

Personal Training Consultant, New South Wales

Helen has been veterinary nursing since 1982 and gained first qualification in 1984. She has been continually employed in small animal practice and currently works in a small animal practice with owner/vet/husband on the mid north coast of NSW. Helen has worked for Crampton Consulting Group/ AIRC since 2001. Her main roles are as a Workplace Trainer & Assessor with responsibility for approximately 40 Veterinary Nurse students and presenter for CCG practice training. Helen is the current chair of NSW Industry Advisory Committee and chair of National Industry Advisory Group for Veterinary Nursing.Great interests include red wine and good food. She has a gorgeous Boxer dog and enjoys travelling around Australia by small plane with her husband.

 

Jasmine Feeney
Personal Training Consultant, ACT and Southern NSW

Jasmine began working as a junior veterinary nurse in a mixed practice on the mid north coast of NSW gaining a passion for veterinary nursing. In January 2000 she moved to Sydney to begin studying for her Certificate in veterinary nursing and worked in a cat only practice for 1 year. She then had the opportunity to join the referral medicine team at the Sydney University Teaching Hospital at the end of 2000, completing her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing in 2002 and an advanced certificate IV in critical care and emergency nursing in 2003. Jasmine was the head of nursing at Sydney University Teaching Hospital for 5 years and has recently moved to Canberra where she is the nursing manager in a small animal practice. Jasmine is a personal training consultant for the Animal Industries Resource Centre for students in the ACT and Southern NSW areas.She obtained accreditation through the VNCA in January 2006, a Diploma in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing in 2007 and has a special interest in intensive care nursing and oncology.

 

Jo Hatcher
Personal Training Consultant, South Australia

Jo started her career as a veterinary nurse in 1999, qualifying as a Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse in 2002. She then went on to study the Diploma of Veterinary Nursing Management and the Veterinary Technician Certificate. She worked as the Nursing Manager of a large four clinic practice in the northern suburbs of Adelaide before stepping out of the management role and back into general nursing as a senior nurse in a practice closer to home. Jo gained accreditation in 2008 and has a special interest in medical nursing, emergency and critical care and is very passionate about helping train veterinary nurses to realize their true potential and to be the best that they can be!She has two very demanding domestic cats at home and a beautiful Labrador X called Simba. Jo is an executive committee member of The Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia and is a personal training consultant for Animal Industries Resource Centre for students in South Australia.

 

Robyn Richards
Personal Training Consultant, Victoria

Robyn grew up in North East Victoria on a cattle & Sheep farm and developed a love for animals and communities. She spent her early working life working in different equine jobs around Australia and Ireland within the industry and then finally settled for Equine Veterinary Nursing.
After 10 years of veterinary nursing and practice management at an Equine Vet Clinic in North East Victoria, Robyn began teaching in the Animal Health sector. With 12 years of teaching experience, Robyn has developed an increasing motivation for a student centered approach to teaching. She is passionate about building industry partnerships that support training with a student focus learning environment. In 2008 Robyn was awarded the state training award: Victorian Teacher / Trainer of the Year.
Robyn’s qualifications include: Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Education and Training; Graduate Diploma in Vocational Education and Training with Latrobe University; TAA 40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; Certificate III Equine Nursing; Certificate IV Agriculture (Horse Breeding). She is currently studying a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

 

Rocky Sham
Personal Training Consultant, Hong Kong

Rocky has joined the Provet group as a Business Account Manager and Personal Training Consultant. He is based in Hong Kong and looks after the Asian region for AIRC/CCG. 

Being a veterinary nurse himself (who still actively nurses in practice), Rocky brings to his role a wealth of experience and a comprehensive understanding of the needs of veterinary practice.  Prior to becoming a veterinary nurse over five years ago, and having since worked in some of Hong Kong’s busiest practices, Rocky has also worked in the pet shop and pet merchandise field and thus has a very good knowledge of sales and distribution and he has exceptional experience in customer care.

He has 2 dogs (Dachshund and Pomeranian) and 2 Munchkin cats. In his spare time he can generally be found enjoying outdoor activities with his dogs and is a keen watersport enthusiast.
